Power Chord Shape
"What is a Guitar Chord Shape?"
A Guitar Chord Shape is a constant fingering that you maintain. When you move this fingering up and down the fretboard you will produce different chords.

This power chord shape is primarily used in blues, rock and punk. Palm muting power chords gives them a rock and roll/punk feel. Give it a try!

These power chord fingerings are among the easier guitar chord shape fingerings that you will learn. I usually use my first finger for the 1st note and the my second finger for the second note and my third finger for the third note instead of barring two notes with my ring finger.
