7th Chord Shape
"What is a Guitar Chord Shape?" A Guitar Chord Shape is a constant fingering that you maintain. When you move this fingering up and down the fretboard you will produce different chords.
This minor chord shape is primarily used in blues and rock. 7th chords are also used a little bit in jazz. Note: This fingering is one of the more complicated fingerings out there. Probably the hardest part of getting this chord shape down is the first finger. The first finger you have to barre across the fret so that it sounds three notes. If you can't get all the notes to ring, move your finger down towards the low e and the farther you move it, the better the notes should sound.
Remember if you are having trouble sounding those notes with the first finger, the farther down you move it towards the low E, the better the notes will sound and the easier is will be to play.
